![]() ![]() Shoes are antique leather with leather soles, stamped on the bottom "11 Depose" and bearing the logo of a hot air balloon, often used as a symbol with Jumeau in Paris Bebe dolls. Clothing consists of well remade two-piece dress made of salmon pink satin with grey and lace trim, well-coordinated hat made of similar material, which covers a 1960's era honey-blonde human hair wig with bangs and long curls covering a remade cork pate. Lot: 2002 - WIDE-EYED SIZE 11 TETE JUMEAU BEBE.Īttractive 24" (61 cm) closed mouth Jumeau Bebe with blue-grey paperweight eyes, well painted lashes and multi-stroke arched eyebrows, delicately painted lips allowing the illusion of a space in-between, pierced earlobes, marked with a red stamp on the back of the head reading "Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGD.G11." She is on the original fully articulated French wooden composition body, obviously Jumeau, but whatever blue stamp that may have been on the back of the torso is very faded. She has some typical peeling to the paint on fingers. Somebody has taken the time to re-create a wonderful period-inspired dress, consisting of blue brocade with fancy lace shawl covering the top of the dress, with an elaborate bonnet made of the same dress material. ![]() She also still has her original caramel-colored leather boots, with the impressed logo of the maker on the sole, Alard. It has mostly original paint and is stamped on the rear of the torso in blue, "BEBE JUMEAU Bte SDGD." She still maintains her original long honey-colored human hair wig, with a side part over the original cork pate. The earlobes are pierced with one drop white earrings and the head is secured by the original coil spring attachment to the original body, which is fully-jointed French wood and composition. ![]() Lot: 2001 - 24" LOVELY CLASSIC TETE JUMEAU BÉBÉ SIZE 11.Ī 24" (61cm) Jumeau with red stamp on back of the head, reading "DEPOSE TETE JUMEAU 11." She has a very wistful expression, with huge blue bulging paperweight eyes, a soft closed mouth with well-outlined lips and the illusion of a space between the lips. ![]()
